Taking Math Outdoors: A Natural Early Math Learning Environment (Video)

The outdoors provide a rich environment for introducing early math concepts. Sheila Williams Ridge, co-director of the Child Development Laboratory School, shares examples of how to use materials found in nature to engage children in early math learning.

On May 17th, presenter Marie Lister, CDLS Assistant Director and early childhood specialist, discussed and shared some research on the importance of executive function skills and provided information about how to support the development of these skills in young children.
