Celebrating our U of M students

In every classroom throughout the CDLS program, students are making a difference in the lives of children and families.

In some spaces students work directly with children and teachers as classroom assistants, practicum students, administrative support staff, or student teachers. There are other students who come to observe, research, and learn about the development of young children and some have the CDLS program as a central focus of their course experience.

One class, CPSY 1301 Nature-Based Learning in Early Childhood, is based out of our training room, and throughout the semester students have been observing, note taking and learning about curriculum. Students recently conducted their final project by designing meaningful activities to help young children learn about different topics.
