Meet Director of Operations Sarah McKee, who works behind the scenes at CDLS to make sure our programs run smoothly!
Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and moved to Minnesota for college at the U of M. I live in Shakopee with my husband and 15 year old son. We recently moved our 18 year old daughter to North Dakota State University for her first year of college.
How long have you been working at CDLS, and how did you get interested in early childhood education?
I have been at CDLS for 28 years. I started working as a college student while going to school. After graduating with my teaching license, I became an assistant toddler teacher and then a preschool teacher. In 2009 I moved into an administration role as education coordinator. My current position is director of operations.
What keeps you in the early childhood field?
Knowing the importance of early education and watching children grow and learn has kept me in the field. Also supporting new teachers in the field.
What are some of your favorite parts of your job?
I love being part of the community at CDLS. The relationships with children and families are very special. I also enjoy supporting classroom teachers in the work that they do.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family playing card games, cooking, and playing golf. I also spend many hours at the hockey rink watching my son.
