To help keep your child healthy and prevent the spread of COVID-19, CDLS is providing free at-home rapid tests through the State of Minnesota’s free COVID-19 testing options for all school, child care, and early education settings.
If your child is excluded from school for covid-related symptoms, we will send home a BD Veritor test kit and an instructional flyer to help you assist your child in completing the test.
This test can be used by anyone over the age of 2. The package provided includes two tests per box so the person being tested can take a second test between 24 and 48 hours after the first test.
To take this test, download the ScanWell Health App on an iPhone, Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel smartphone. The app will guide you through the testing process. The test will take about 20 minutes to complete.
