Practicum Students On-Site for Child Psych 5241

CDLS will be welcoming Early Childhood Education and Developmental Psychology students this school year to learn about the field of early childhood education.  The students will observe the various stages of children’s development and the skillful teaching practices of the CDLS staff.  Their practicum experience is paired with instruction pertaining to the importance of observation as a tool to understand children and enhance the relationship-building process.  Additionally, they will learn how to use observational information to inform educational planning and decision-making to ensure that they are developmentally appropriate.  Students who have taken this course in the past have been grateful for the opportunity to learn from the children and teachers at CDLS.  We look forward to helping current students grow into future teachers!
